Jeremiah + Lamentations
Back to: All Lessons | Old Testament | New Testament | Current Study
Jeremiah is known as “the weeping prophet”. He faithfully and compassionately proclaimed God’s judgment on a rebellious Judah and begged them to turn from their sins for over forty years, but he remained despised and persecuted by his stubborn countrymen.
Known as the “book of tears”, Lamentations describes the funeral of a once-proud Jerusalem now reduced to rubble by the invading Babylonians. This book teaches that disobeying God invites disaster and shows that God suffers when His people suffer.
We provide a general outline for each book of the Bible, as well as individual handouts with discussion questions for each lesson. We hope these resources help you know God and grow in your understanding of His plan for your life.
