The apostle Peter writes the letter of 1 Peter to both Jewish and Gentile believers in Christ Jesus. Peter writes to encourage believers who would likely face trials and persecution under the Romans, discussing three practical issues: the salvation of the believer, the submission of the believer, and the suffering of the believer.
